A cloud of dust about 1,160 light-years away, in Cepheus.
It does not produce its own light: it returns the light of the star HD 200775, sitting at its centre, and that is where its blue comes from. It is a reflection nebula, lit dust: it does not react to the dual-band filter, and it needs a broadband filter. The first minutes give the blue heart. The dark dust around it is far fainter: it takes the hours that follow.
