Les Pléiades
An open cluster of more than a thousand stars, 445 light-years away in Taurus.
It can be seen with the naked eye without difficulty under a decent sky. The brightest stars register in a few seconds. The blue nebulosity wrapped around them is much fainter: it is dust reflecting their light. Here, exposure time is not there to see the object, which is already there, but to bring out what surrounds it. And a narrowband filter is of no use at all.
